The Strand Theatre was one of several classic movie houses that flourished many years ago in downtown Modesto, but are long gone. Patrick wrote a wonderful song about the Strand years ago and we have been performing it ever since. In recent weeks, two different individuals asked us if we had ever recorded the song. We took that as a sign that we should record it immediately, especially since it could provide the soundtrack for a video that our friend Wes Page is creating which will chronicle the history of these fine old theatres. We may release it as a single and/or make it available for download. More on that later!
